Raffles Hotels & Resorts gathered accolades at the Singapore HR Awards 2006 as it was the only hotel company to be awarded in five different categories for Leading HR Practices. The Singapore HR Awards 2006 is a platform for the HR fraternity and professionals to come together to celebrate and recognise successful and leading organisations and practitioners in their drive for impactful human capital strategies.

Raffles Hotels & Resorts was awarded for:

  • Leading HR Practices in Strategic HR
  • Leading HR Practices in Learning and Human Capital development
  • Leading HR Practices in Employee Relations and People Management
  • Leading HR Practices in Performance Management
  • Leading HR Practices in E-Human Resources Management

In the category Leading HR Practices: Strategic HR, Raffles Hotels & Resorts was awarded for the emphasis it places on the strategic aligning of HR and business objectives and incorporating a sound and effective change

management process.

The Leading HR Practices: Performance Management award recognised Raffles Hotels & Resorts on its excellent measurement and management of performance of employees and business.

Employees are the cornerstone of Raffles Hotels & Resorts. The company was awarded for Leading HR Practices: Learning & Human Capital Development in recognition of its efforts in nurturing and developing its human capital in order for them to perform and contribute more effectively to businesses as well as increase their employability.

Raffles Hotels & Resorts was also awarded for Leading HR Practices: Employee Relations & People Management. This award emphasises the areas of establishing good programmes and systems that improve intra-andinter- relationships between and among employees, employer and the union.

In addition, Raffles Hotels & Resorts was awarded the Leading HR Practices: E-Human Resource Management award for embracing technology to enhance effectiveness and productivity of the HR department, and at the same time, meet the needs of the business and employees.
