Proud Real Estate establishes a regional destination in Hua Hin with its waterpark project

The highly anticipated Vana Nava Hua Hin, Asia’s First Water Jungle, a 1bn baht world-class leisure destination from Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd., is ready to open its doors to the public on 1st December 2014. Partnering with 4 business leaders, the water park hopes to bring in over 300,000 visitors, and many more to Hua Hin city, within the first year.

BANGKOK – Not unlike the water park itself, the press conference was held in a refreshing manner at Siam Paragon 4DX theatre, where press and partners had the first glimpse of the 20 rai (3.2 hectares) entertainment complex through the Journey To Discover Vana Nava, a 4D animation film.
Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Chief Executive Officer of Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd., the visionary leader behind the project, commented, “We set out to create one of the best family leisure destinations in the region. Together with our partners, who all share the same vision, we want to redefine “family entertainment” with  some of the world’s best and greatest slides and attractions, developed to the highest safety standards and using the most updated technology, while promoting the surrounding community and preserving the existing ecosystem.”
The total investment capital of Vana Nava Hua Hin stands at 1bn baht. The waterpark is well equipped with Thailand’s most exciting rides and slides from WhiteWater West Industries, based in Canada, the world’s number one in water attraction products, who have supplied equipment to over 5,000 waterparks around the world in the past 30 years. The park’s highlights include The Abyss, Thailand’s largest slide and Vana Nava Falls, which towering at 31 meters is Asia’s tallest manmade mountain waterfall, as well as LED lighting in all the pools. Mr. Brian Walker Smith, Vice President of Sales, SEA, of WhiteWater West Industries commented, “Vana Nava Hua Hin is destined to earn a reputation as the  “Best waterpark in the Asia Pacific Region.”’
The park has invested heavily in park safety, advised by a leading aquatic safety and risk management consultant from the USA, Ellis and Associates, as well hiring a well-seasoned General Manager, Mr. Mike Fijas, with over 27 years of experience in the business and also the former Chairman of the World Waterpark Association Safety Committee. It will also be one of the most efficient waterparks when it comes to water usage, with only 3% of its water lost from the system. Thanks to the grey water management and micro irrigation system.
The waterpark is Phase I of a larger 35 rai mixed-use development that also consists of a 300-key family hotel and premium residences. With more than 200,000 trees in its 20 rai property, Vana Nava Hua Hin will literally become an “oasis of fun” that enhances Hua Hin’s image as a premier family destination.
Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd., already has a few developments in Hua Hin city, including the prestigious InterContinental Hua Hin Resort and the upcoming BluPort Hua Hin Resort Mall. “We stay committed to our vision to further elevate Hua Hin’s status as a world-class destination in order to generate a lasting positive economic impact for the entire community. With the completion of Vana Nava Hua Hin, the city will now have a first class leisure destination to attract more international tourists to the area. We will be that much closer to achieving our goal,” Ms. Proudputh added. The target market will be 70% Thai and 30% foreign at the beginning, but the company hopes to increase this figure to a more even split within a few years.
Vana Nava Hua Hin will be working closely with its partners in order to promote the waterpark as one of Asia’s finest family leisure destinations.
TRUE sponsors the Slide Jungle, a large tower with 6 of the fastest slides coming off of it, resembling the speed with which it delivers 3G and 4G connections across Thailand and with a fiber optic ring installed at the park, they will deliver the ultimate connectivity for all guests.
Chang will be providing “moments together made memorable” at the Surf Zone, a venue well positioned to become the new entertainment hub of Hua Hin, consisting of a Double Flow Rider as well as a bar, a game arcade and DJ, and will be open late into the night.
Muang Thai Life Assurance provides great family entertainment for all at the Rain Fortress, a large play structure with 7 slides and an immense bucket which tips over a large amount of water every 4-5 minutes, splashing everyone with laughter and happiness. In its Thai Smile Club customers can also expect a number of promotions and discounts throughout the year.
Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd., supplies the waterpark with vehicles run on gasohol, bringing awareness to the importance of sustainable development. Both being true believers of creating positive benefits for the community as well as the environment, Honda Automobile and Vana Nava Hua Hin will be working together to ensure maximum results.
