Outbound travel’s most valued event attracts record numbers to Beijing for 13th edition

COTTM 2017 welcomed brand new destinations to the show such as Abu Dhabi, Latvia, Macedonia, Mongolia and Palestine.

China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) came to an end last month after an incredible 3 days in China’s outbound travel hub, Beijing. The mega 13th edition saw more than 450 exhibitors from 70 countries connect with over 4,300 leading outbound tour operators from all over China.
 
Visitor numbers were up by and impressive 18%, confirming COTTM’s position as the industry’s most valued annual event for outbound tourism. China’s top tour operators were out in force to connect and do business with the inspiring array of global destinations at the show. 
 
COTTM 2017 welcomed brand new destinations to the show such as Abu Dhabi, Latvia, Macedonia, Mongolia and Palestine. A number of destinations also made a welcome return this year such as the Maldives, Montenegro, Serbia and Tanzania demonstrating the truly global reach of the event. 
 
The Luxury Travel Showcase was the largest to date, offering visitors exposure to a unique and varied range of companies specialising in adventure travel, sporting events, top driving experiences in luxury vehicles, food & wine tours and luxury hotels.
 
The COTTM Conference, organised this year by TripVivid once again proved a storming success, providing a high level programme addressing the hot topics in the travel and tourism field, insight into current market trends and detailed exploration into the expectations and needs of Chinese consumers. 
 
COTTM 2018 will take place on 16-18 April 2018 at New Hall, National Agricultural Exhibition Center, Beijing.
