Ocean Alliance leads the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous

M/Y ONEWORLD

Ocean Alliance is one of the only brokers in Australia accredited by MYBA who sets and monitors global standards for superyacht brokers.

Alliance is representing five superyachts at the upcoming Australian Superyacht Rendezvous (ASR) – more than any other participant. Their line-up includes the 26-metre M/Y AURORA, 30-metre M/Y MURCIELAGO, 37-metre M/Y MASTEKA 2 and, the largest yacht on display at the event, the 40-metre M/Y SILENTWORLD. Joining this line is the latest superyacht from Gulf Craft, the 31-metre M/Y ONEWORLD who will be making a world debut at ASR. All the superyachts presented by Alliance are being offered to clients looking for luxury corporate and private charter.

Based in Sydney but travelling to the Gold Coast for ASR, held from 20 to the 22nd April 2018, Ocean Alliance is one of the only brokers in Australia accredited by MYBA; who sets and monitors global standards for superyacht brokers. Additionally, Ocean Alliance is a MYBA (The Worldwide Yacht Brokers Association) corporate member of which there are only 129 companies worldwide.

We are looking forward to a successful campaign on the Gold Coast with the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous coinciding with the end of the Commonwealth Games. No doubt it will be a very exciting time for the city and for the company, as we represent these leading superyachts to the growing Australian superyacht charter market,” stated Ocean Alliance’s Managing Director, Joachim Howard.

Interest has increased in Australia as a destination for ultra and high net wealth individuals to charter a superyacht as a new way to experience the region. So much so, Ocean Alliance launched onto the Australian charter market, on behalf of their Owners, four superyachts over the last 12 months. The latest of which is ONEWORLD; built specifically to Australian survey standards with chartering in mind. ONEWORLD only arrived on Australia’s shores in March 2018 after her launch in the U.A.E.

Australia is a much-desired destination for the affluent and experimental traveller. By chartering a superyacht in Australian waters, we can offer these guests the natural and unique beauty of Australia. It is an experience like no other,” continued Mr Howard.

The five yachts presented by Ocean Alliance at ASR are part of a fleet of 14 superyachts they represent. The superyachts are available for charter in destinations such as the Whitsunday Islands, The Kimberley, Sydney Harbour, Tasmania, Fiji, Solomon Islands, French Polynesia and New Caledonia much of which has not been accessible in this manner previously. For instance, MASTEKA 2 is the first internationally flagged superyacht to be granted a charter licence in New Caledonia.

By chartering a superyacht, guests have full and private access to the yacht and its crew. Ocean Alliance works with the charter guests to devise a fully customised itinerary and culinary journey which is prepared onboard by a private chef. Activities include water sports, cultural activities, fishing, spa treatments and helicopter tours.

The 2018 edition of the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous is the second time the event has been held at Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard (GCCM). Its aim is to highlight the growing number of quality Australian superyachts available for charter.

We were very encouraged by the first edition of ASR and have expanded the second edition to include more yachts. Chartering a superyacht is about having ultimate control over your holiday or event with no limitations. We, therefore, need to make sure we encouraged the most impressive display of yachts and options for the client at the ASR and with Ocean Alliance, we have done just that. Ocean Alliance is a welcomed broker partner,” explained GCCM’s CEO, Trenton Gay.

ASR will be hosting journalists, event planners, concierge, luxury brands and VIPs interested in charter all of whom will be coming to view the yachts on display as either unique venues for private events or for their next family escape.

Ocean Alliance has enjoyed a very busy 12-month period. We have delivered many wonderful experiences to our clients in that time which is the key focus for our business. We will be announcing more superyachts who are joining the Australian charter market and so expect the momentum to continue after ASR,” said Mr Howard.

The experiences which are most popular with Ocean Alliance’s guests include activities as simple as stargazing with no city lights whilst playing with the bioluminescent water or discovering 50,000-year-old aboriginal artworks in The Kimberley. In the South Pacific, guests are drawn to learning about pearls in Tahiti or the cultural heritage of New Caledonia. Universally, they enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the most remote anchorages a superyacht can access or the unique pleasure of a gourmet BBQ on a deserted beach.
