Customers traveling over the Lunar New Year period will have more options to choose from as Singapore Airlines increases flights to select destinations in Asia to cater to the traditional peak in demand.

Between 21 January and 6 February 2006, there will be five more flights between Singapore and Taipei. This is a 13 per cent increase in capacity on the route which, since 30 October 2005, has been served 17 times weekly by the Airline. These supplementary flights will be operated using B777-200 aircraft.

Singapore Airlines will also increase capacity on flights to Penang and Kuala Lumpur. Over 3,000 more seats will be available between Singapore and Penang with the addition of 10 supplementary flights between 24 January and 7 February 2006. This is a capacity increase of almost 30 per cent over the Airline’s 18 times weekly frequency to the Malaysian island.

Also, Singapore Airlines will mount an additional flight to Kuala Lumpur on 26 and 27 January 2006, should there be demand for it.

All increases are subject to government approval.
