Mantra tops guest satisfaction poll

New research confirms the Mantra accommodation brand is the best hotel group when it comes to delivering customer satisfaction.

Results from the latest Roy Morgan Hotels & Resorts Customer Satisfaction Report show both Mantra and Crowne Plaza are in the lead over their 25 competing hotel brands.

Mantra Hotels, Resorts and Apartments sits at the top of the poll on 89 per cent for customer satisfaction ahead of leading hotel brands including Westin, Sheraton, Hilton, Marriott and Sofitel.

The results come from a survey pool of more than 7,000 guests who stayed at a hotel or resort between April 2010 and March 2011.

Mantra Group CEO Bob East said the research findings are extremely pleasing. “We are striving to be Australia’s favourite accommodation provider, through our ongoing refurbishments, our excellent staff training and our dedication to good service,” he said.

“Last year, Roy Morgan Research ranked Mantra Hotels, Resorts and Apartments number two for hotel/resort customer satisfaction following their annual survey.

“We set a goal to ‘raise the bar’ and aim for number one in 2011… and we’ve done it!”

Roy Morgan Research International Director of Tourism, Travel & Leisure Jane Ianniello said there is only a two percentage point gap in customer satisfaction between the top six performing hotels, which indicates that they’re competing strongly for the same premium customers.
