LUXX set debut of LUXX XL in Bangkok, Thailand

The creator of LUXX – Bangkok’s hip, stylish, and no frills hotel – is set to debut its new property – LUXX XL – this May 2009. This is an important milestone for the LUXX brand which transformed its small hip hotel concept into a bigger and luxurious hotel experience. The new LUXX XL is designed to serve both business and leisure travelers and extended-stay professionals.

LUXX XL’s design of simplicity, minimalism and absolute functionality is intended for the discerning travelers who are seeking for unique and stylish accommodation concept for either short- or long-stay,” says Mr. Dusadee Srishevachart, developer and designer of LUXX hotels.

As the new name suggested LUXX XL is the Xtra Large version of the original, small hotel LUXX. Here, there are 51 studio rooms and suites matched with facilities such as pool by the garden, bar and restaurant.  There are ample of spaces to breathe in since the common and garden area accounts more than half of the total plot of land in the property.  LUXX XL offers some of the most spacious and larger hotel rooms that can usually be found in the upscale properties only.

LUXX XL’s Studio size is at 33 sqm with a spacious bathroom, working desk corner, pantry and a mini lounge area.  The Studio L is at 47 sqm featuring a working desk corner, functional pantry and mini-bar and a unique daybed area that can be used by an accompanying child. The Suite is a one-bedroom unit with an expanded pantry for light cooking, a living space and an extra large sofa all within the size of 66 sqm.  One type of one-bedroom Suite features a 9 meters long stretched floor to ceiling glass windows in its bedroom and a walk-in closet. A unique feature of this type of suite is the bathroom partition that can be opened to the extra large terrace area set within the same 66 sqm size.

The Suite L is a two-bedroom haven where the master’s bedroom comes with an extra large bathroom and an extra guestroom with twin beds and the privacy of its own bathroom.  A dining table adjoins the living area making this two-bedroom suite ideal for longer staying guests.

The Suite XL is the pinnacle of comfort designed in ultra fashion located on the building’s top floor.  The living area is prime, spacious and elegantly fitted sanctuary, pantry with bar counter and a dining table set for 8 persons making it ideal for intimate celebrations or entertaining private guests.  It has a private study and library that doubles up as a receiving sala, ideal for meeting while enjoying a relaxing stay.  The guest room provides a wrap around view of the panoramic city skyline.  The Master bedroom is an epitome of privacy with signature bed and ensuite bathroom featuring separate sunken tub and rain shower and a walk-in closet, all in a glorious 208 sqm of living space.

All room types is highlighted by a dramatic extra large teak wood entry door, extra large floor to ceiling windows allowing natural lighting and a usable balcony or terrace for guests’ relaxation.  The quality of materials used are premium including custom teakwood furniture, real teakwood flooring, real slate-stone finishing on the bathroom wall, and premium grade designer faucets.  The bed is custom made, with quality mattress and linen to create seamless sleeping experience. Hallmark feature of all rooms and suites include the original LUXX’s “fun bathroom” concept where bathrooms have the sexy open partitions.  In-room entertainment includes LCD TV, DVD+CD+MP3+USB compatible stereo system and the complimentary WIFI in all rooms and public areas.

An exceptional facility of the hotel is ‘dip’ – a 12 metre infinity edge, slate stone-finished salt-system swimming pool. Lounge around ‘Milk’ – a New York style glass bar and restaurant that overlooks the swimming pool and the garden.  Both outlets make up for ‘Club LUXX’ – which also covers the fitness room, a fancy home sala-style business center and a chill executive lounge by the garden to be opened by 2010.

Located within the quiet and stylish road of Langsuan, the new LUXX XL is at the heart of Bangkok’s shopping, entertainment and business districts. The new hotel is a few meters away from the nearest BTS sky train stations, BTS Chidlom and BTS Rajdamri, connecting premier shopping plazas such as Central Chidlom, Amarin plaza, Gaysorn mall and Erawan mall surrounding the Ratchaprasong square where Central world plaza, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre and Siam Discovery Centre are a BTS station away.

On the other end of the road is the MRT subway station, MRT Silom where guests can pass through Bangkok’s oasis – the Lumphini Park and immediately connects to Suan Lum Night Bazaar. LUXX XL is also few minutes away to the business districts of Wireless, Sathorn and Silom roads.  Major embassies and consulates such as those of the United States, United Kingdom and Japan are all within a 10-15 minutes walking distance.
