The second edition of Luxury Tribe India in New Delhi sees significant growth, uniting elite buyers with international luxury brands.

NEW DELHI, INDIA – The second edition of Luxury Tribe India, which has already confirmed a successful increase of exhibitors that goes from 30 to 60, unites hotel brands and destinations confirming the role of the show in converging global luxury brands, elite buyers from India, and industry forerunners.

The Imperial, the iconic property in New Delhi, will host from 11-14 March 2024 under one roof the most powerful Indian buyers ready to meet 60 selected exhibitors, showing an increase of 100% compared to the first year confirming the unparalleled success of the show.

“My team and I are thrilled to see the traction we are having on an international scale.”, comments Sheetal Rastogi, Founder of Luxury Tribe. “This second edition  sees the arrival of iconic luxury hotels, high-end destination management companies, exclusive jet and yacht charter operators, expedition cruise lines, tourism boards, local attractions, and independent boutique hotels from Middle East and Maldives like Atlantis Royal, The Lana Dubai- a Dorchester Collection Hotel, Soneva Resorts Maldives, One&Only Reethi Rah, Sukhothai Bangkok, Asia with, France with Barrière Group and Italy with Il Borro, famous property in Tuscany, Luxury Lodges of Australia, Tourism Bhutan, Queensland Tourism, Visit Portugal, Charm & Adventure Italy, Ponant Cruises, Bulgari Resort Bali, Raffles Bali, Alila Villas Uluwatu and many more.”

The role that India is playing as a new feeder market is now confirmed and this explains the success of this exciting new show. Maurizio Orlacchio, GM of Borgo Santo Andrea on the Amalfi coast confirms: “Our property is one of a kind and we are interested only in discerning travellers who can appreciate the attention to detail, the level of service and excellence we aim to give and after the American market, we see an increase of interest from Asia where India is becoming an exceptional market. Last year, my team, thanks to the show, secured trips with a value of over 80,000 euro.” According to Knight Frank’s 2023 Wealth Report, the number of UHNWs in India is set to rise by 58% in the next five years, while its HNW population will increase by 107%. All of this equates to a class of Indian traveller with a huge disposable income, and the means and propensity to travel.

Lanka Silva, Sales Manager at UGA Escapes, is excited to join Luxury Travel Show: “Luxury Tribe show was recommended by our representation company, Heavens Portfolio. They have been great with us, and we have a lot of confidence in them as well. We were told that Luxury Tribe is just one stepping stone in terms of entering the market and getting to know important people in the industry. Luxury Tribe has been a very good place for us to get to know people. Since we are new in the luxury market, we thought we should come strong, and this is a good place to start.”

The new edition is also converging under the same roof for 3 days an increased number of selected luxury buyers. Sheetal explains:” We aim to become the gateway to meet India’s leading travel designers, influencers, bespoke luxury travel agencies, and tastemakers from over 20 cities across India. This year, thanks to the success of the first edition, my team has also secured not only additional buyers but also a few selected planners specialised in destination weddings.”

Education is also at the base of the Luxury Tribe show and this year in addition to the ILLUME conference, the event will also offer Fireside Chats, workshop opportunities where leaders from the luxury industry explain the key strategies to expand into the Indian market and tools to gain traction: the topic will focus on emerging destinations, the emerging trends and success stories of luxury global brands.

Sheetal added: “India is a multifaceted, burgeoning region. There are many old myths to dispel but also a lot to learn and we believe that these workshops will help to better shape the region and understand the profile of the affluent Indian consumers and their inclinations.

Applications are open for luxury travel and hospitality brands to express their interest in exhibiting at Luxury Tribe in Delhi in March 2024.
