Kuala Lumpur to host Asia Harley Days

Asia Harley Days will be the culmination of a year-long, global celebration taking place across 11 countries on six different continents.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Harley-Davidson, Inc, along with the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), announced that Kuala Lumpur will play host to Asia Harley Days to be held in September this year. This event is being organised in conjunction with the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary celebrations, making it the exclusive regional experience hub in South East Asia.

Asia Harley Days will be the culmination of a year-long, global celebration taking place across 11 countries on six different continents.

Greg Willis, Director of Marketing Operations, Harley-Davidson Asia Pacific said, “Kuala Lumpur is the perfect place to hold this event due to its strategic location in South East Asia and the strong support of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and MyCEB, which recognises the huge tourism potential of Malaysia playing host to Asia Harley Days.”

With support from the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and MyCEB, Asia Harley Days will take place at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre and include members of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), the motor company’s official riding club, taking part in numerous planned activities.

H.O.G. members from all over the world are expected to attend this celebration. The event is free, and is open to members of the public which will be held from 14 to 20 September 2013. Events and activities include a flag parade, promotions, exhibition, displays, demo rides as well as a nationwide riding tour. For H.O.G. members, the event includes a welcome dinner, special access, promotions and deals throughout the week’s events.

“Indeed, Malaysia is a country that is conducive for countless types of events and, coupled with a myriad of interesting activities that is unique to the country, the participants will have an excellent time. Asia Harley Days in 2013 is a very big event for Malaysia. It is expected to draw at least 5,000 foreign attendees which is worth RM50 million in economic impact to the country,” said Zulkefli Sharif, CEO of MyCEB.
