KUALA LUMPUR – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre hosted a cocktail reception to welcome the latest entrant to the local business tourism fraternity, MCI Malaysia, the Malaysian arm of MCI, a globally integrated association, communication and event management company.
Congratulating MCI on their Malaysian foray and for joining forces with leading Malaysian Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) and specialist in medical congresses, Console Communications, the Centre’s Deputy General Manager, Alan Pryor said this partnership reflects the confidence international players have in local PCOs.
He added Malaysia’s meetings industry will also benefit from MCI’s experience, expertise and influence in the global meetings space to further develop her products and services.
Pryor and the sales team led participants from MCI’s regional and group operations who were attending the MCI Academy Asia 2013 conference on a site inspection of the Centre’s Exhibition Halls, Grand Ballroom, Meeting Rooms, Plenary Hall and TenOnCall.
Thanking the Centre for their hospitality, Mr Avinash Chandarana, Group Learning & Development Director, MCI HQ Brussels, said MCI and the Centre have always enjoyed a constructive working relationship, in particular in the last couple of years when the Centre, and Malaysia, started to make their mark on the global business tourism arena. “Now, with a presence on-the-ground, this relationship can only continue to grow.”
Opening in 1987, MCI has since created corporate events, meetings and incentives; association and governmental conventions, congresses, exhibitions; and managed and provided consulting to associations.
