BEIJING – Kempinski will host its third Career Day in Beijing on April 12th 2014 at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre. Interviewers this year include: Mr Xavier Destribats, Kempinski regional president for Europe and Mr Ulrich T. Eckhardt, Kempinski regional president for India, Middle East, and Africa. Nearly 300 positions, from junior to executive levels in various departments are open for application. In the China region, not only are the 18 existing hotels recruiting personnel but also Kempinski’s two open projects, Yanqi Lake Kempinski Hotel Beijing and Kempinski Hotel Changsha, are also looking for talented individuals. More than 100 opportunities including 20 mid-level management positions are in need. Mr Holger Schroth, general manager of the prestigious Emirates Palace Abu Dahabi, is recruiting for 40 positions open to Chinese candidates including the positions for assistant director of groups and events as well as a position for restaurant manager.

This event is mainly aimed at individuals with previous professional experience who are looking for a new professional challenge. Students or young professionals are also welcome to attend. The Career Days have clearly proven to be successful for us as a company and for the participants, who will have the chance to talk directly to hotel managers,” says Reto Wittwer, President and CEO of Kempinski Hotels. Wittwer, together with other members of board, will be present in Beijing this year to interview and meet Kempinski’s potential talents. “The only indispensable qualities you need are passion and enthusiasm. Everything else can be learned,” says Wittwer in regards to his personal requirements for a job in luxury hospitality.

Candidates should bring copies of their updated CVs and have a thorough knowledge of Kempinski Hotels.

During the Career Day, top managers from Kempinski’s headquarters in Geneva and the regional offices in China and the Middle East will give presentations on career development opportunities in the industry.
