Jet Airways named ‘India’s Best Airline’ at TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards 2107

Jet Airways wins coveted award from TripAdvisor – World's largest travel site, based on traveler feedback.

Mumbai – Jet Airways, India’s full-service, premiere, international airline, announced that it has won ‘India’s Best Airline‘ award in TripAdvisor‘s first annual Travellers’ Choice awardsfor airlines for the year. The winners were based on airline reviews submitted on TripAdvisor flights from February 2016 to February 2017.

TripAdvisor – the world’s largest travel site, provides valuable information and reviews that are used by millions of travellers worldwide while planning their itineraries and choosing between destinations and accommodations. Its multi-category annual Travellers’ Choice awards are highly regarded as signature across the travel and trade industry. The website this year has introduced the airline category in these awards for the very first time and the winners were judged using an algorithm that considers the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travellers worldwide over a 12-month period. The Travellers’ Choice award winners are recognized for their outstanding service, quality and value proposition offered to their guests.

Commenting on the award Jayaraj Shanmugam, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said, “We are extremely pleased to have won “India’s Best Airline” award in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards” for 2017. The recognition is a testimony of Jet Airways’ Guest First service philosophy to provide guests with the joy of flying via greater connectivity, choice, convenience and comfort. What makes this recognition extra special is that it is based entirely on guest experience and feedback and validates our efforts to heighten our brand experience. We will continue to work harder to set new product and services benchmarks to delight all those who fly with us.”

Nikhil Ganju, Country Manager, TripAdvisor India, said, “After the launch of TripAdvisor airline reviews last year, we are very excited to announce the inaugural Travellers’ Choice Awards for Airlines. The airline industry in India is at an interesting juncture with increasing number of Indian travellers taking to flying and newer airlines foraying into the market. We are confident that these awards will not only help the Indian travellers make more informed air travel decisions but also make the airlines more cognizant of the higher standards of services expected from them.”

The unbiased traveller reviews and guest feedback received on TripAdvisor reflect the trust that Jet Airways enjoys with travellers. Flying directly to 65 destinations including 20 international ones, the airline has consistently used its Guest First philosophy to reinvent itself for today’s traveller by creating a host of smart, guest-centric initiatives in the form of both product and service experiences such as ‘Seat Select’, ‘Fare Lock’, ‘JetAdvance’ and ‘Fare Choices’ that make travel increasingly technology friendly and convenient. Together with its warm, personalised in-flight hospitality as well as unmatched comfort offered by its wide body fleet on key domestic and international routes, the airline has also introduced ‘JetScreen’ – its WiFi-enabled streaming solution which lets guest’s enjoy in-flight entertainment on their personal devices. In another first, Jet Airways recently collaborated with Uber to offer seamless travel solutions from doorstep to doorstep.
