Hotelzon Online celebrates its first decade

Hotelzon Online, Hotelzon’s online hotel booking tool is celebrating its 10th year anniversary this December.

When the initiative was first rolled out, Hotelzon Online served only Finnish business travellers for their national hotel bookings. Jani Kaskinen, CEO Hotelzon said, “It was seen as a completely new way of thinking in that bookers could use a self-booking tool, accessible over the internet, wherever they were in the world.”

In its initial years, paper stacks and administration were lowered and after four years of implementation, the number of hotel bookings made through Hotelzon Online spiked.

Hotelzon has retained its clientele and way of thinking since day one and the company has focused solely on the business travel field, bringing about success by developing proprietary technology that has been recognised to be one of the most developed in the industry.

Kaskinen continued, “We have taken great pride in the success of Hotelzon and continued to follow the same core principles we started out with. Our innovation, ambition and customer focused development will ensure Hotelzon continues to provide a market leading product, for a further ten years.”

Established in 1972, Hotelzon launched its first online hotel booking tool in 1986. In 2004 Hotelzon reached into the Chinese and Swedish markets; the first acquisition to penetrate the UK market took place in 2006. What started out as a one-of-a-kind hotel booking tool for business travellers in Finland has now become global, allowing Hotelzon’s international clients to use a single provider for all of their hotel bookings across the world.
