A website specialising in comparing the best deals on flights has launched an accompanying Smartphone application; helping travellers find the best, cheapest flights for their travelling needs.
A European-based flight comparison website that has recently stepped up its efforts to help travellers within the UK has now launched an accompanying Smartphone application; giving UK travellers the means to find the best flight deals available to them, in palm of their hand.
The application, launched by Jetcost.co.uk, allows users to quickly and easily search for the flights that they’re after. Users can input search criteria including dates, airports, type of trip, number of people travelling and what class they wish to travel in; after which they are subsequently presented with flights that match their criteria in a simple price comparison chart.
The Jetcost App is partnered with numerous airlines and travel agents, including British Airways, Lastminute.com, Expedia and SkyTours; giving users a wide spectrum of flights for comparison. Once users have found the best flight deal for them, they simply select their chosen flights on-screen; after which they are directed straight to the online buying page of the airline or travel agent in question.
The Jetcost Smartphone app aims to make searching for and purchasing flights as easy as possible for consumers, and is 100% free to download and use. The app is currently available on iPhone operating platforms.
The Jetcost App was launched by the accompanying website, Jetcost.co.uk. Founded in France in 2006, Jetcost.co.uk has so far sent hundreds of thousands of people on flights across the world and attracts over one million unique visitors to its site per month.
Jerome Cohen-Scali, Co-Founder of Jetcost.co.uk, had the following to say about the app: “Having seen such success with the Jetcost.co.uk website, we felt that the best natural progression would be to release an accompanying app for Smartphone owners. We aim to help people find the best, cheapest deals on flights wherever possible; and having an application that allows you to do so on the move can save you a great deal of time, particularly as you can book flights through the app, too.”
He continued: “It was important for us that the app be free to download and use, as we want consumers to save money wherever possible. Our flight comparisons make it easy for consumers to see where they can grab the best deals whilst on the move, as saving the pennies on flights can make all the difference to the cost of your holiday or trip.”
