Encouraging renewal and supporting rebuilding, EVA Air and All Nippon Airways have expanded code-shared services to include domestic flights throughout Japan, giving travelers more convenient access to and from key international arrival and departure points. Starting March 27, 2011, EVA’s passengers began connecting onward from the international gateways it serves to All Nippon’s domestic destinations. Travelers can book flights on EVA’s website.
The coshare has increased EVA’s service network in Japan from eight gateways to 20, reaching from Hokkaido in northern Japan to Kyushu in southern Japan and enabling passengers to more readily fly into one city and depart from another. In the wake of the tragic March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami, the expanded service makes it easier to access cities throughout Japan.
From Taiwan, EVA serves Fukuoka, Komatsu, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita with more than 50 flights a week. The airline has temporarily suspended its flights to Sendai. It launched flights between Taipei’s close-in Songshan International Airport and Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport in October 2010. This coshare enables increasing numbers of EVA passengers to benefit from Haneda’s convenient location.
The expanded coshare speeds up connections for EVA passengers arriving at Haneda and traveling onward aboard one of All Nippon’s many domestic flights. At the same time, it creates flexibility in international itineraries for those who want to depart from one of EVA’s gateways in Japan and return via another.
The two airlines initiated their cooperative service when EVA introduced Japan service in 1994 with its Fukuoka gateway. The expanded coshare also includes EVA’s and All Nippon’s flights to/from Komatsu, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita.

In 1992, EVA was one of the first airlines to roll out a premium economy cabin in-between economy and business classes. Named Elite Class, this innovative and affordable cabin is in increasingly high demand from both business and leisure travelers and has won prestigious international awards. For North American and European long- and medium-haul flights, EVA uses Boeing 777-300ers and 747-400s, and Airbus 330-200s.
