Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, marked a new connection between Bangkok, Thailand and Sydney, Australia. The airline started operating additional flights from its Dubai hub to Sydney via Bangkok on 29th March.

Emirates` new Dubai-Bangkok-Sydney service not only adds frequency to both Thailand and Australia, but also opens up a new connection between Bangkok and Sydney for travellers and shippers. Initially operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Emirates will increase this to a daily service from 1st May. The airline operates its new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in three-class configuration on the route offering 18, 42 and 320 seats in First, Business and Economy classes respectively, plus 23 tonnes of bellyhold space for cargo.

The new service brings Emirates` flights between Dubai and Bangkok from twice daily to three-a-day by May 2005. It also adds to the airline`s current daily non-stop service between Dubai and Sydney, bringing the total number of Sydney flights to twice-daily by May.
