Egypt and China are to run direct flights between their capitals Cairo and Beijing, Egyptian Minister of Tourism Ahmed El- Maghrabi said on Wednesday.
Speaking to Xinhua News Agency, Maghrabi said that the scheduled airline runs would help a flow of more Chinese tourists into Egypt, known worldwide for its varied attractions of ancient monuments and unique sceneries.
The two sides would sign a bilateral tourist cooperation agreement, amid hopes that Egypt would get more than one million Chinese tourists in future.
Maghrabi struck a note of optimism saying: I believe that China should lead the list of tourist-exporting countries to Egypt.
