BANGKOK – Leading Asian hospitality group Dusit International hosted the first ever Dusit International Golf Invitational with royal patronage, The Queen’s Cup Dusit International Golf Invitational, on 27th February 2013 at the Riverdale Golf and Country Club, benefitting The Queen’s charity, the Thai Red Cross.

Dusit International’s Chief Operating Officer Mr David Shackleton welcomed various VIPs from the corporate world, Thai society, government dignitaries and the media to the fun-filled event. After the shotgun tee-off at 12 p.m., guests enjoyed a day of golf on the scenic course where they had an opportunity to win a Hyundai Elantra 1.8G with a Hole-in-One.

The eventful day was followed by a cocktail and buffet dinner reception, where guests were thanked for their attendance and their kind sponsorship of the charity. An auction was also held, with guests bidding for wonderful travel packages to Phuket and the Maldives, to further support The Queen’s charity.

“We are very pleased with the turnout of our Golf Invitational this year,” said Mr Shackleton. “We humbly thank Her Majesty The Queen for her patronage and proudly present our contribution to aid in her charitable efforts.”

In addition to Dusit International, sponsors of the event also included Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Coca Cola, Hyundai, Myanmar Airways International, Singha Corporation, Devarana Spa, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School, and Wong Tawan Group.
