China Airlines and Delta Air Lines have expanded their codeshare cooperation, when China Airlines added three round-trip sectors to its existing Delta codeshares – from Los Angeles to Hartford, Columbus, and Raleigh/Durham.

Following this latest codeshare expansion between China Airlines and Delta Air Lines, CAL passengers can fly from Los Angeles to Atlanta, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, New York, Hartford, Columbus and Raleigh/Durham; from San Francisco to Atlanta; and from Honolulu to Los Angeles and San Francisco. With this latest codeshare cooperation, CAL’s operations in the U.S. cover markets on the East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and South.

At the same time, Delta places its codes on China Airlines flights from Anchorage, Honolulu, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), San Francisco and Seattle to Taipei, and onward to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. In addition, Delta places its codes on China Airlines flights from Tokyo to Taipei.

The expansion of the codeshare cooperation means that more CAL and Delta passengers traveling from the U.S. to Asia, or from Taiwan to the U.S., can enjoy excellent in-flight service, efficient connections, and seamless ground service. Passengers can also accumulate frequent-flyer miles for their entire journeys when flying both airlines, which they can redeem for free tickets and other perks.

In addition to its agreements with Delta, China Airlines also has codeshare cooperations with Alitalia, Thai Airways, Korean Air, Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines. Further cooperation with other carriers is under negotiation.
