This year the CCB-IC staff will work hard to increase name recognition of Chiba Prefecture and win many business bids. CCB-IC staff will introduce Chiba Prefecture and the available venues based on the needs of the buyer. Staff will also be able to show the CCB-IC’s new promotion video.

The Chiba Convention Bureau and International Center (CCB-IC) supports and promotes international events in Chiba Prefecture in order to stimulate the local economy. In order to bring in events in the increasingly competitive business events industry, the CCB-IC is stepping up its promotion activities abroad, including attending a larger number of international trade shows.

Since IMEX America is the largest business events trade show in North America and gathers a lot of attention from the industry, the CCB-IC will be exhibiting at the trade show in October. IMEX America is held every year in Las Vegas, and in 2013 there were 2,694 exhibitors and 2,691 hosted buyers, with a total number of 10,191 show visitors over 3 days. This year two staff members from the CCB-IC will be attending.

The Chiba’s bidding process for the Kiwanis International 2014 Convention, which was held at Makuhari Messe (Chiba City) in July and is estimated to have had an impact of over 1 billion yen (over 10 million USD), was started at IMEX America in 2012. This year the CCB-IC staff will work hard to increase name recognition of Chiba Prefecture and win many business bids.
