CAA has been called in to protect customers booked with Selsdon Travel

Selsdon Travel Limited, trading as Dreamticket.com, held ATOL licence 3994 and was based in Croydon. It operated scheduled air package holidays and flights out of major UK airports to the Indian Ocean (Seychelles, Mauritius), Middle East, Far East, Africa and Caribbean. They held a licence to cover 17,000 passengers and sold direct to the public.

There are approximately 600 holidaymakers currently abroad and approximately 4,000 customers with forward bookings who are yet to travel.

The CAA, under its ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licensing) scheme, is making arrangements for customers abroad to complete their holidays and return to the UK, and to fully refund those with forward bookings.

The CAA is currently issuing the following advice to Selsdon Travel customers:

Customers currently abroad on holiday
Passengers who are currently overseas will be in possession of scheduled airline tickets, which will remain valid. Passengers are therefore advised to go to the airport as ticketed to return to the UK.

Passengers may be required by the hotels to repay for their stay. If this is the case, passengers must ensure that they are provided with a clear receipt for the payment, which will be required in order to make a claim for a refund of the payment upon return to the UK. Passengers can download a claim form available from the CAA website and complete.

More information for customers due to travel is available on the CAA’s website: www.atol.org.uk

Selsdon Travel customers who are currently abroad and experiencing difficulties should contact the CAA for more information on 0044 161 444 5810. Those with forward bookings requiring general advice about refunds under the ATOL scheme should go to the CAA website in the first instance, or can contact the CAA on 08444 933037 if they are experiencing difficulties.
