Best Western booms in Bangkok

Best Western International (BWI) has unveiled plans to add its sixth hotel in Bangkok; Best Western Plus Grand Howard.

Hot on the heels of the launch of the Best Western Premier Sukhumvit – the company’s first upscale Best Westerm Premier hotel in downtown Bangkok – Best Western has now expanded its upper-midscale Best Westerm Plus brand in the thriving Thai capital.

Located in the Sathorn district of Bangkok, close to the several large banks and international finance companies, Best Western Plus Grand Howard offers 256 contemporary suites, all with views of the city or Chao Praya River.

In addition to the Best Western brand standard amenities of free Wi-Fi, local calls and breakfast, guests at Best Western Plus Grand Howard will benefit from bathrooms with separate bathtubs and rain showers, LCD TVs with a range of satellite channels, and iPod docks.

Hotel facilities include the Howard Lane all-day dining restaurant, offering fine Asian and Western cuisine, Smith’s Lounge cocktail bar, a swimming pool, fitness center, limousine services and a free shuttle to Bangkok’s BTS sky train network.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of yet another Best Western hotel in Bangkok,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.

“Best Western International is completely committed to the long-term future of Thailand’s tourism industry, and by offering a full range of accommodation options – from our world-famous Best Western brand to the new full-service Best Western Plus and the luxury Best Westerm Premier – we are proud to be able to cater to every type of tourist visiting this dynamic city,” Mr. de Souza added.

One key aspect of the Best Western Plus Grand Howard will be its excellent conference facilities. With a range of professional services, audio-visual equipment and plentiful meeting space, the hotel is the perfect place to hold meetings, seminars, weddings, conferences or private functions.

Following the launch of the Best Western Plus Grand Howard in August 2012, Best Western International will offer 15 hotels in Thailand.
