Beijing will establish an Olympic traffic control center by 2006 in preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The center, located in Beijing`s Xicheng District, will not only serve the 2008 Olympics but also function as the city`s traffic management center after the event.
Construction will begin later this year and the center will provide real-time information on traffic using video links and satellite orientation systems.
