After the success of online magazine Beach Tomato‘s inaugural fashion, beauty and beach culture awards in June 2011, the beach go-to guide has launched its first Beach Property Awards, handpicking the best properties to stay in around the world – all just a stone’s throw from a beautiful beach.

Combining both expert judging and public voted categories, the shortlist of best beach properties will be announced on Beachtomato.com on 20th September 2011, with the winners announced on 18th October 2011.

Joining the Beach Tomato experts on the judging panel will be Tom Marchant, James Merrett and Matt Smith, founders of Black Tomato, the renowned travel brand whose unique insight will help to decide which jaw-dropping property will ultimately be crowned winner from one of the nine categories. These nine categories include Private Sands, Sexy, Scene, Local Flavour, On Water, Spa, Iconic, Unique and View.

The Beach Tomato site has seen phenomenal success in its first six months, being the first website to combine both beach culture and beach fashion; offering you information on where to go when, the chicest places to stay and what to wear and how to wear it. Having fast become the go-to-site for beach authority – on both sides of the Atlantic – Beach Tomato has decided to go that step further, bringing you their ultimate beachside abodes.

Tom Marchant, co-founder of both Beach Tomato and Black Tomato adds, “Beach Tomato was created to share the very best of beach culture and with the Beach Property Awards, we look forward to celebrating our experts’ and readers’ best beachside accommodation around the world.”
