Aston International bolsters its online reach with SiteMinder

Rapidly expanding Indonesian hotels group, Aston International, has upgraded its online distribution strategy by signing with accommodation aggregator, SiteMinder, to help manage its direct website bookings and reservations from third party accommodation websites around the world.

Aston International, which manages 36 hotels under 10 major brands in South East Asia has installed SiteMinder’s leading edge website booking engine, ‘TheBookingButton’ onto its own hotel websites to better manage direct online reservations. Aston has also engaged SiteMinder’s channel management technology to bolster its online reach to booking markets around the world and streamline their distribution efficiencies.

SiteMinder’s Business Development Manager for Asia, Kevin Tatem, said Aston was also working with SiteMinder to integrate its property management system (PMS), VHP (Visual Hotel Program), into SiteMinder’s channel management system, ensuring a fast, two-way connection between Aston’s hotel reservation system and dozens of top-performing booking sites such as Expedia, Wotif, Booking.com and Agoda.

“Aston’s online distribution strategy will allow them to control their own inventory including dynamic rates and availability straight from their PMS while receiving instant delivery of online reservations directly back into their PMS. Astons’ new streamlined interface generates significant time and cost benefits for them, with no more need for staff to manually re-key online booking reservation emails,” Mr Tatem said. “And by also using SiteMinder’s Booking Button on their company branded websites, Aston can better convert site lookers into direct bookings so they have all their bases covered as they expand in south-east Asia.”

The Director of Ecommerce for Aston International, Tenaiya Brookfield, said: “Aston’s various resorts, villas and serviced residences are welcoming guests from around the world and they are increasingly searching for information online. We want to make this process as user-friendly as possible for all of our guests, which is why we’ve selected SiteMinder as our partner for all of our hotel booking engine needs.”
