Asia Web Direct (AWD), Thailand’s online travel distribution channel revealed a business breakthrough in providing global room availability to website users through a partnership with Pegasus Solutions. By connecting with Pegasus’ UltraDirect technology, AWD’s booking transactions showed an increase of 30% within the first two weeks.

According to the company`s executives, within the first two weeks of system implementation, AWD has seen a significant increase in revenue from all of its websites including Bangkok.com, Phuket.com, Visit-Mekong.com, Smartstays.com, and Latestays.com. The transaction value from travel websites in the Asia Web Direct stable has increased with 30%, compared to the average performance before UltraDirect implementation.

AWD’s Director of Online Product Khun Wanliya Praharnpap commented: “The most important component of offering online accommodation reservation comes down to room availability. This factor prompted AWD to expand its capability of securing rooms on a global scale. The connectivity enables us to tap into a hotel room database worldwide with the state-of-the-art technology that can process room reservations in seconds. No more waiting around for confirmation for our users.”

She added, “Our users now have total control of their reservations, including instant confirmation of booking and cancellation.”
