Argyle Hotel Group unveils new hotel brand

AHG’s new brand, “Ausotel Smart”, targets China’s emerging middle class, young adults and savvy business travellers who are seeking a unique travel experience.

BEIJING – Argyle Hotel Group (AHG) has announced the unveiling of a new brand – “Ausotel Smart” at the opening ceremony of its third office, located in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China.
 
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Dominic Trindade, Consul-General of Australia for Guangzhou, Ms. Julie-Anne Nichols, Senior Trade Commissioner of Australia for Guangzhou and Ms. Tracy Colgan, Chairperson of the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Beijing. Also in attendance were hospitality industry leaders and hotel investors. During a formal speech given by Mr. Dominic Trindade, he highlighted the importance of Australia’s exports in the services sector, of which AHG is a great example.
 
Additionally, AHG also signed key partnership agreements with American Standard, design firms, DDA and ANS, as well as signing four new hotel management contracts located in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, Ningde, Fujian province and two in Yunnan province in Shangri-la and the ever popular Lijiang.
 
AHG’s new brand, “Ausotel Smart”, targets China’s emerging middle class, young adults and savvy business travellers who are seeking a unique travel experience. Mr. Kevin Zhang, Chief Executive Officer of AHG China said, “Smart can be understood as “Simplistic & Modern ART” and is representative of “Smart Hotel”, “Smart Customer”, and “Smart Investor”. It will provide clientele with simplistic design in a functional space.
 
Mr. Jeff Zhang, General Manager of Guangzhou, China believes that the Ausotel brand will continuously develop in the mid-range Chinese hotel market and has a target of 150 Ausotel branded hotels over the next three years.
 
Argyle Hotel Group is the largest Australian hotel management group with continued strong growth and expansion throughout China with 60 hotels, 12,242 hotel rooms and US$ 2.8 billion of assets now under management. The group has shown great initiative in expanding its business frontier throughout greater China with many of the developments in second, third and fourth tier cities.
