AirAsia, the low fare airline in Southeast Asia, was presented with the Transport Company of Excellence Award at the annual Transport Industry Awards Nite. AirAsia, recently named Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion; an annual listing of Asia’s top 200 companies , was adjudge the winner at last Friday’s proceedings based on its excellent track record and well managed organization. The airline was also chosen because of its contributions towards innovative developments in the transport and logistics services.
On hand to receive the award, AirAsia Group CEO, Dato’ Tony Fernandes said, “It is a very proud moment and an honour for us all at AirAsia to be recognized by our own fellow peers in Malaysia. We will continue to strive for excellence and pave the way for Malaysia and Asian’s aviation development”
The annual award was jointly organized by Ports World Sdn Bhd, and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia, an international professional body for all sectors of the logistics and transport industry.
