agentSNAP offers fee communication and collaboration for agents and suppliers

agentSNAP, the free social network devoted to the travel industry, launched offering familiar Facebook style tools and features. agentSNAP provides an environment for the travel industry to engage in business-to-business (B2B) communication and collaboration. All agentSNAP community features are free to agents and suppliers alike.

agentSNAP uses intuitive features such as Wall Posts, Private Messaging, Chat, Location Check-in, Status Updates, Photo Uploads, Photo Tagging, Video Posts, Friend Selection, Group Creation and Participation, Private and Public Events, and more. Suppliers and agents can post any event, such as trade shows, webinars, conferences and FAM trips including links to their sites or registration pages, all at no charge.

Using Profile Logic, agentSNAP is able to suggest friendships with other colleagues. This feature analyzes the member’s profile for location, business focus, friends in common and more to make suggestions to the member.

“There has been a longstanding need for an information and collaboration hub in the travel industry,” says Nick Davis, founder and creator of agentSNAP. “agentSNAP offers a place for agents, sales reps, suppliers, consultants, journalist, executives, the industry as a whole to come together and share ideas, list events, discover new colleagues and suppliers and engage with one another. Whether their focus is on leisure, corporate, meetings and incentives, all members of the industry are invited to join and actively participate. No matter the function, title or sector, everyone is welcome on agentSNAP.”

“The first question I am asked is ‘Why not just use Facebook?’. Of course, Facebook is definitely the king of social media. It is an invaluable tool for communication and interaction. Facebook, however, is designed as a personal friendship network and a B2C (Business to Consumer) network,” Davis said. “When we log into our personal Facebook profile, we enjoy seeing what our friends and relatives are doing, checking out the latest pictures from their albums. We find old and connect with new friends. We also like to see what specials are available or what is new from products we patronize as consumers. Most of us do not want to clog up our personal Facebook walls with work related post. I have heard it described as getting a sales pitch at the family dinner table. It’s just not the place. For this reason, many of us don’t engage in Facebook friendships with industry professionals unless we have close personal relationships with them.”

agentSNAP also offers SNAPrewards.  SNAPrewards rewards agents, sales reps and other individuals with SNAPreward Points for engaging in the community and with participating suppliers as well as inviting friends and colleagues to join agentSNAP. Individuals can also use their points to play our very loose SNAPslots virtual slot machine to win more points. The individual with the highest point total on June 30, 2012 wins a $500 Apple Gift Card.

Other features on agentSNAP include a news ticker to keep members abreast of the latest in the industry. A job board allowing business to post available positions at no cost is also available.

agentSNAP is the free Social Network for Agent Professionals and suppliers allowing the travel industry a place to collaborate and communicate.
