Mark Heather, Regional Managing Director of Absolute Hotel Services India announced three new management contracts secured in July 2011. The U Umargam, under contract with the Ahmedabad based B Nanji Group, will be a luxury U boutique hotel. With 60 Rooms, a 3 meal Restaurant cum Bar, a Lounge Bar, Swimming Pool, Spa & Fitness Centre, Meeting & Event Space and Outdoor activities and games, the hotel will provide a sophisticated setting amidst the rustic charm of Umargam. Expected completion of the hotel will be in second quarter of 2013.
Hotel M C International (owned by Amritsar based Naval Chopra) was also signed on earlier this month and operations are slated to be taken over from the 1st of August 2011. The Hotel will be re-branded as an Eastin Easy Amritsar within the next few months, a proprietory brand of Absolute Hotel Services catering to budget and business travellers. The hotel has 42 Rooms and Suites, a 3 meal Restaurant, a Lounge Bar, a Coffee Shop, Multi Gymnasium with steam and sauna facilities, Banquet Rooms and Meeting Rooms. This will be the first Eastin Easy to start operations in India.
The third property that has been signed on this month is with Delhi based Palmyra Resorts Pvt. Ltd. ‘Acacia’ by U Hotels & Resorts will be an uncomplicated bijoux deluxe hotel for the experienced traveller. Located at Candolim in Goa, the hotel will have 54 Rooms and Suites, a 3 meal Restaurant, a Lounge Bar, a Library, Gymnasium and a Spa. The hotel is expected to be operational by January 2013.
