2nd Annual Exhibition Industry Outlook Conference announced for 13 September in New York City

The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) announces its second annual industry outlook conference, Predict. It will be held on 13 September 2012 at 10 on the Park at the Time Warner Center in New York City and will unveil key economic indicators for the exhibition industry and the impact it will have on organizations that produce exhibitions for the next three years.

The exclusive event will be limited to C-level executives. The one-day program is being developed by a Predict Program Task Force chaired by CEIR director Don Pazour, CEO of Access Intelligence LLC. Throughout the highly-intensive and interactive event, speakers will engage attendees by providing a forecast for the CEIR Index’s 14 industry sectors for the remainder of this year and through 2014.

“Building on the success of last year’s event, Predict 2012 attendees will immerse themselves in a real-time, interactive experience and actively participate in the industry’s key predictive event,” said CEIR CEO and President Doug Ducate, CEM, CMP. “Based on the responses both during and after the event, the content and speakers are being tailored to meet the essential needs of our attendees.”

Executives will share future operating strategies including projected event growth, merger and acquisition strategies and planned launches. Attendance will be limited to 140 exhibition industry C-level executives, merger and acquisition firms, private equity firms, debt providers, investment firms and the financial press to allow for an intimate, high-level idea exchange about the future of the exhibition industry and implications for specific business sectors and their supporting exhibitions.

Confirmed speakers include:
– Frank Anton, President, Hanley-Wood Inc.
– William Carteaux, President & CEO, Society of the Plastics Industry
– Chris Kersting, President and CEO, SEMA
– Joe Loggia, President & CEO, Advanstar Communications
– Charles McCurdy, CEO, GLM

“When I was asked to chair the Predict Program Task Force, I enthusiastically agreed,” said Don Pazour. “The 2011 Predict conference was a resounding success, and with the program we are developing, this year’s event promises to provide a unique opportunity for exhibition industry leaders to participate and discuss the exhibition industry’s current and future performance strategies.” Members of the task force include: David Audrain, CEM, President & CEO, Clarion Events North America; Bob Priest-Heck, Chief Sales Officer, Freeman; and Dennis Slater, President, Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
