Peakwork steps into Chinese market with Chinese distribution partner Lucky Trip

With this partnership, Lucky Trip is reacting to the changing Chinese tourism demands.

Chongqing (China) – Peakwork and Lucky Trip have agreed on a strategic partnership and will jointly set up a new technology development centre in China. This centre will focus on the development of Peakwork dynamic packaging technology and other products to serve the Chinese market.

The partnership between Peakwork and Lucky Trip will enable Chinese companies to benefit from both Peakwork’s advanced technology in dynamic packaging and its advanced online distribution and sourcing of travel services. Asian travellers will be able to book travel services from TUI, Thomas Cook and other overseas travel retailers who through Peakwork technology directly purchase domestic hotels, flight tickets and other travel and tourism resources in China.

Mr. Qing Zhang, CEO of Lucky Trip, explained: “Peakwork is an important technology partner who is already supporting the tourism business of global giants such as Facebook and Google. The partnership between Lucky Trip and Peakwork will provide cost-effective products and a superior service for global travellers.”

Jan Gerlach, CEO of Peakwork, said: “Peakwork will help its Chinese partner Lucky Trip enhance Chinese customers’ travel booking systems. Peakwork’s open search and dynamic packaging technology will change current Chinese user’s travel behavior – for the better.”

With this partnership, Lucky Trip is reacting to the changing Chinese tourism demands. Although OTAs (On-line Travel Agencies) provide lots of tourism services, it currently takes a long time for customers to select different travel services and compare prices. The demand for personalized travel services at cost effective prices is significantly rising in China and Peakwork technology addresses this demand.
