Busan Tour Taxi service begins official operation

Busan Metropolitan City started Busan Tour Taxi service from May, 2016. Busan Tour Taxi service provides convenient transportation to Korean and overseas visitors.

BUSAN, South Korea – Busan Tour Taxi service started its official operation on May 21, 2016 holding its opening ceremony at the Busan Yachting Center. The tour taxi service aims to provide convenient transportation to Korean and overseas visitors and had been under test operation since last December.
 
100 qualified and trained taxi drivers will provide quality service and guided tours, including places to eat. Visitors can use the service on a reservation basis only by calling the official call service center. The call center operates 24 hours.
 
The tour taxi fares vary by hour (20,000 won for one hour, 50,000 won for 3 hours, 80,000 won for 5 hours, 150,000 won for 10 hours and 180,000 won for 12 hours). Tolls and parking fees are extra.
 
Busan tour taxis will also be used as regular taxis with regular taxi fares when they are not reserved for the tour taxi service. After analyzing the results, the city will expand the service to luxury and passenger vehicles with a maximum occupancy of 13 passengers.
