Unicorn Hotels & Resorts launches “Lifestyle Management” concept for hotels

Unicorn Hotels & Resorts has hired a cutting edge team of young creative thinkers to live the new brand experience and introduce it through its own hotel brand.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Dynamic hotel management company, Unicorn Hotels & Resorts, has moved to claim the new centre-ground in Thailand’s hospitality market as the millennial market is set to dominate the landscape over the coming decade.

New millennial lifestyle pillars “focused, connected and relaxed” are set to replace traditional models for service and facilities as the innovative company pioneers a “lifestyle management” concept in the demanding and fast-changing hospitality space.

Unicorn Hotels & Resorts has hired a cutting edge team of young creative thinkers to live the new brand experience and introduce it through its own hotel brand, KLY, as well as the upcoming Zazz Hotels in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City and a hip, multi-level dining destination on Sukhumvit Road.

The Bangkok-based outfit specialises in brand identity and creation, supported by a flexible, professional hotel management approach that covers a broad spectrum of managerial, operational, technical and commercial services to hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs.

With a clear understanding of the millennial mind-set, Unicorn’s founder and CEO, Yann Gouriou, is the driving force and visionary behind the company’s hotel management style. He has worked in top hotels and resorts across Asia, Europe, South Pacific, Middle East and the Caribbean, and prior to starting his own management firm he helped develop and run four of Thailand’s top boutique resorts for one of the country’s leading hotel groups.

Yann is supported by a young, creative team whose collective experience covers every department in a hotel from branding through to marketing and operations. Their vision has shaped Unicorn Hotels & Resorts’ core belief that good management is in the details and the art of getting people to listen.

“Our distinctive culture attracts the kind of client who wants it all – work and play, indulgence and sustainability, contemporary and heritage. We believe in setting expectations high, and being accountable to what is expected of us,” says Yann.

The Unicorn team has been managing The Silver Palm on Rama 9 in Bangkok, a stylish and popular 89 key 4-star urban resort with swift and easy access to the airport. They have also been signed to develop and brand a hip new hotel called KLY in Pattaya, which was developed in-house to target GenYers with smart design, curated art, quality sounds, gourmet comfort food and innovative mixology – expected to launch in Q4, 2016.

More recently, Unicorn Hotels & Resorts was engaged by an international hotel brand on Sukhumvit in Bangkok to manage a project that will revitalize all the F&B outlets, crafting distinct identities for each venue and developing inspired and relevant marketing and PR strategies to launch the hotel’s restaurants and bars as a new dining and entertainment destination for the Thai capital.

Another exciting project for Unicorn Hotels & Resorts involves a partnership for the development of two green-inspired urban oasis properties called Zazz Hotels in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City.

As an alternative to more traditional hotel management companies that focus on facilities and standardised services, Unicorn Hotels & Resorts has one unerring purpose and vision – to get the brand and business working by getting its people working.

“Our dynamic, lifestyle-centered approach syncs with an entrepreneurial spirit and how we live and work today,” adds Yann. “We serve one truth, which is our guiding philosophy and daily mantra: ‘Hospitality begins with people. Everything else follows’.”
