Chiva-Som introduces new personalised supplements service

The Personalised Supplements option offers guests the opportunity to understand their current health status and take immediate steps to correct imbalances in the body, with the added benefit of supporting healthy ageing and longevity by addressing nutritional gaps.

THAILAND – Transformative wellness destination Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand, has pioneered self-care as part of its unique wellness philosophy for 28 years. This month, it expands its offering with a new Personalised Supplements service, a tailored approach designed to meet individual nutritional needs.

Chiva-Som’s approach to healthy nutrition is centred around promoting a balanced diet, believing that nutrition should be viewed as a foundation of health as well as a source of pleasure. Guests at the world-renowned wellness destination are advised on healthy living through nutrient optimisation with recommended supplements. The new service aims to provide peace of mind and confidence that nutritional needs are being met in a targeted way.

Chiva-Som’s expert health professionals provide holistic support and a highly individualised approach to wellness to guide guests toward achieving optimal health. The Personalised Supplements option offers guests the opportunity to understand their current health status and take immediate steps to correct imbalances in the body, with the added benefit of supporting healthy ageing and longevity by addressing nutritional gaps. Supplements may enhance overall health outcomes and reduce the risk of chronic diseases by providing nutrients that have been shown to support specific health conditions.

The Personalised Supplements service includes an on-site blood sample taken for testing to determine levels of essential vitamins, minerals and hormones; and a one-to-one follow-up session with our wellness expert to discuss diet, lifestyle and family history. A set of daily supplements are then customised to the guest’s specific needs. The prescribed collection of bespoke vitamins, minerals and/or antioxidants will support overall health and fill nutrient gaps. All supplements are manufactured by a laboratory partner using high-quality ingredients sourced from around the world.

“In combination with diet, stress management, exercise, and relevant treatments, supplements provide an opportunity to help achieve optimal health. We are delighted to be able to further precision-target our offer to our guests, providing tailored nutrition supplements as part of their holistic journey,” said Chanyapak Suwankantha, Wellness Director at Chiva-Som.

Supplements are packaged into daily sachets and are available in orders of one-, three- and six-month sets, ensuring guests have access to the supplements their body requires for an extended period, avoiding the costly process of trial-and-error over-the-counter purchases. Future orders with the prescribed supplements can be made for international delivery subject to the customs regulations of the receiving country, enabling Chiva-Som guests to continue their personalised supplement regime at home. The price of the supplements depends on the specific prescription based on the test results, as well as the quantity ordered.

Personalised supplementation is not a substitute for a balanced and healthy diet, regular exercise and other healthy lifestyle choices. Personalised supplementation should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment or advice from a healthcare professional. Some supplements may have side effects or interactions with certain medications or medical conditions, so it is important to disclose all current medications during consultation. The effectiveness of personalised supplementation may vary based on individual health status and other factors, and results are not guaranteed.
