VistaJet’s report highlights key 2023 travel trends, showing a surge in Hong Kong and China’s business aviation, with APAC and global hotspots leading.
VistaJet has recently revealed the top travel destinations for inbound and outbound travel in Hong Kong and mainland China markets, alongside the most sought-after travel routes worldwide in 2023. A strong rebound on business activities has been witnessed, with the recovery of some international travel capacity and volumes.
Key highlights of the findings include:
Hong Kong: While Covid-19 was a testing time for Hong Kong’s business aviation industry, it gave rise to a few unexpected positives such as the emergence of new customers. Hong Kong has witnessed a remarkable rebound in business aviation activities since then, with a strong recovery in business activities throughout this year. The number of flights has bounced back to pre-pandemic levels. (Source)
Top destinations in Hong Kong for inbound and outbound travel are all within the APAC region including Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing, Phuket and Bangkok.
Mainland China:Chinese business travel spending fell 4.6% last year, dropping China down to the #2 business travel market in the world for the first time since 2014. However, China is expected to recover back to being the #1 business travel market in the world by the end of 2023. (Source)
