Tourism Malaysia awarded National Tourism Organisation of The Year at the 13th ITTA Awards 2022/2023

Through this recognition, Tourism Malaysia aims to further restore the confidence among the industry players to continue promoting and selling Malaysia’s attractions and tourism products.

JAKARTA – Tourism Malaysia has won the National Tourism Organisation of The Year for the third time at the 13th Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards 2022/2023, which took place at Artotel Suites Mangkulur Hotel, Jakarta. Tourism Malaysia won the same award in 2019 and 2021.

An annual event aiming at the better growth and development of Indonesian tourism, ITTA is organised by the ITTA Foundation, which was established in the year 2010. This event aims to create awareness in assuring the quality of strong brands serving the Indonesian market. The National Organisation of The Year award was presented to Mr. Junus Suhid, the Overseas Director for Tourism Malaysia Jakarta Office.

Dato’ Zainuddin Abdul Wahab, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, welcomed the prestigious recognition, and acknowledged the award as a tribute to Tourism Malaysia for its active role and participation in consistent promotion through the mainstream and social media platform as well as engagement with Indonesia industry players and media. This year’s ceremony presented a total of 45 awards as a symbol of appreciation for the unparalleled efforts of the tourism industry players, including travel agencies, hotels, hospitality investors and foreign tourism boards.

Through this recognition, Tourism Malaysia aims to further restore the confidence among the industry players to continue promoting and selling Malaysia’s attractions and tourism products. For the Indonesian market, Tourism Malaysia Jakarta is optimistic to receive more than 1,000,000 pax Indonesian tourists visiting Malaysia for the year 2022 since its international border reopening on 1st April 2022.
