BANGKOK – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and the Airport Authority of Thailand (AOT) hosted a special ceremony to welcome Miss Universe Thailand 2015, Ms. Aniporn Chalermburanawong, who won the award for Best National Costume, dubbed Tuk-Tuk Thailand, at Miss Universe 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The special welcoming ceremony, led by Mr. Sugree Sithivanich, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, took place on Sunday, 27 December, 2015, during 13.30-14.30 Hrs. upon Ms. Aniporn’s arrival at Gate 10, 2nd Floor, Arrivals Hall, Suvarnabhumi Airport.
TAT partly sponsored the creation of the ‘Tuk-Tuk Thailand’s dress as part of its strategy to promote Thailand’s tourism. The dress’ creator, Mr. Hirankrit Pattaraboriboonkul took the inspiration from one of the most iconic and playful symbols on the bustling Bangkok streets and incorporated it with engineering precision, 3D imaging technology, and high fashion couture craftsmanship to create the winning national costume.
