Making a strategic partnership with China Tourism Academy

COTTM is the only business to business event that focuses purely on the China burgeoning outbound market, and is committed to providing an annual platform for Chinese outbound tour operators, travel agencies, high-end/luxury travel companies and MICE purchaser to source overseas tour products suppliers.

BEIJING – A strategic partnership is formed between China Tourism Academy (CTA) and China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM), the only business to business event that focuses on the China outbound tourism market.

CTA, a government research institution directly affiliated with the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), states that they will be working as the academic supporter to COTTM. Onsite at COTTM 2014, CTA will be organising seminars and releasing its Annual Report of China Outbound Tourism Development, providing a free copy of the Report to all COTTM exhibitors.

Simultaneously, COTTM will be promoting CTA’s research reports worldwide through its established global marketing network, strengthening the co-operation with CTA via information exchange and data sharing. To continue to increase the high quality of visitors at COTTM, we will introduce an entrance fee for all visitors who register onsite (there will be no charge for trade visitors who pre-register). Any profit generated from these onsite charges will be provided to CTA for dedicated research on China’s outbound tourism.

Mr Daibin, the President of CTA, comments, “The China outbound tourism market has become a vital engine and a key player of the world tourism economy. Keeping a sustainable and healthy development of the global tourism industry is the responsibility of organisations, including professional travel show organisers and academic research institutes alike. The strategic partnership between China Tourism Academy and COTTM is just making an active exploration in such aspects.”

Matt Thompson, the Director of COTTM, said, “I am delighted to make a strategic partnership with China Tourism Academy, the think tank of the Chinese government. We would like to cooperate and take responsibilities with all stakeholders to help the development of the China outbound tourism industry. We will provide every support to CTA’s research on the outbound tourism development.”
