The new brand identity “Imagine your Korea” was designed to better promote and communicate Korea’s tourist attractions to international visitors.
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) launched their new logo and slogan “Imagine your Korea” on July 22, 2014. To celebrate this major transformation, KTO held an unveiling event at the Hangang Floating Island along the Han River in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Many guests of honor, including diplomatic officials stationed in Korea and tourism professionals and experts, came to the event to celebrate the rebranding.
The new brand identity “Imagine your Korea” was designed to better promote and communicate Korea’s tourist attractions to international visitors. The new slogan encapsulates Korea’s diverse natural, historical and cultural aspects and the new logo uses traditional Korean design aspects, as the vibrant colors on the letter “K” were inspired from seakdong, the colorful stripes seen on hanbok (traditional Korean clothes).
Video advertisements featuring Big Bang were simultaneously launched along with the brand unveiling in China, Japan, Russia and other parts of the world.
