NEW DELHI – “ The German National Tourist Office, India launched its second phase of online destination training program for the Travel Trade across India. The step comes in the light of the current reboot of our tourism where people have expressed a strong intention to travel to Germany. Indians have been longing for a holiday and with India no longer listed as high risk area with some restrictions still exist when travelling.

The launch comes as GNTO forges ahead with its strategy to spread more widespread awareness on the destination amongst the Tour operators across India. The online destination training program would provide Indian tour operators and travel agents with the in-depth knowledge needed to market the destination authoritatively and persuasively to their clients.

With the Indian borders opening up to a number of destinations, Indian travelers can start planning and booking their post-Corona holidays. There are many reasons why a holiday in Germany is a great idea – it’s a destination that has a lot to offer and you will have a fantastic time whether you travel as a family, a couple, solo or in a small group.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Romit Theophilus, Director for India, The German National Tourist Office said “Germany has a wealth of activities for Indian travellers, from spa and wellness breaks, and nature trails through forests, to city-based culinary experiences and cultural explorations across multiple regions. We hope this platform would ensure that the operators have all the information they need to easily sell the destination.

The program consists of 4 informative modules: Module 1 – Let us take you on a trip, Module 2 – Germany awaits you, Module 3 – Experience something special and Module 4 – Breathtaking panoramic routes. We expect this module to serve as a one stop shop for all the operators’ queries on destination Germany.”

Theophilus added “It is clear that growing number of operators recognize Germany’s tourism potential and are very keen to establish themselves as accredited specialists. Registering and completion of the program gives the operators a plethora of benefits from exclusive invitations to attend GNTO events, email support from the Germany Specialist Team etc. As always, we hope to receive the support of the Indian Travel trade to make this program a great success.”
