Sanjay Kumar Gautam, former Oberoi Group executive, is appointed CFO of Onora Hospitality, tasked with enhancing financial systems during its expansion phase, reflecting his extensive experience in the sector.
NEW DEHLI – Sanjay Kumar Gautam, the erstwhile Associate Vice President (Finance) of the Oberoi Group, has joined Onora Hospitality Pvt Ltd as the Chief Financial Officer.
Onora Hospitality has three brands under its portfolio – jüSTa Hotels & Resorts, Bookmark Resorts and NUO – and operates 23 small luxury hotels and resorts with over 600 keys in 9 states.
Sanjay comes with over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. After completing Chartered Accountancy in 2002, he worked with several reputed MNCs in the manufacturing industry. He joined the Oberoi Group in 2011 and worked there for almost 11 years before leaving the organization in January 2023.
Regarding his new job profile at Onora Hospitality, Mr Sanjay said, “It’s challenging and that is why I am loving it. The Oberoi Group is a long-established company and therefore they have all the systems, procedures and rules in place. On the other hand, here my first task is to set up the accounting and finance processes, implement new software and centralize all the processes. Making the entire blueprint for an organization’s accounting and finance systems is a big responsibility and I am looking forward to achieving this successfully. We are already working on putting things in place and I am hoping that we will have everything settled in the next 6 months.”
Sharing his thoughts on Sanjay’s appointment, Onora Hospitality’s Founder & CEO Mr Ashish Vohra said, “The single biggest challenge that most brands face during their expansion drive is managing growth and the most important factors for achieving this are to manage costs as well as the backend processes. In my opinion, Sanjay’s exposure at the Oberoi Hotels’ Centre of Excellence will help us immensely as he brings that vision and understanding. Under his guidance, we are now moving our entire accounts to a cloud-based system so as to work with our hotels, vendors and employees better.”
