Sofitel Mumbai BKC, the luxury hotel in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, announce the appointment of Ritu Gupta as Director of Revenue.

Ritu brings over a decade of relevant experience to her role, and owes much of her success to her strong leadership traits, excellent interpersonal skills with proficiency in building and nurturing stakeholder experiences, and her ability to formulate tactical plans and implement effective business strategies in challenging environments.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts from Jai Hind University in Mumbai and BA Hons in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management in Aurangabad, Ritu underwent an exhaustive and highly specialized training program in revenue management via the Taj Management Training Program. She began her career at the Taj President Mumbai in 2012 as a Revenue Executive, following which she had stints as Assistant Revenue Manager, learning Cluster Revenue Management for both city and leisure hotels in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Coorg. She then moved to the Taj MG Road in Bangalore in 2015, as Revenue Manager, before becoming Cluster Revenue Manager for the Taj Clubhouse and Vivanta IT Expressway. Within all these roles, Ritu focused on identifying and resolving revenue-related issues, guiding a team to design packages for peak and lean seasons, applied tactical pricing and yield management techniques to maximize revenue from all channels, and used tactical pricing to maximize on ADR while maintaining the occupancies in the market.

Ritu then joined the Park Hyatt as Director of Revenue in 2018. Here, she spearheaded the revenue management of the hotel with the right tactical mix, created tactics to become the business market leader via revenue, and focused on total inventory controls. Ritu then joined Bestech Hospitality (Radisson Blu/Radisson Hotels) leading four hotels as a Head of Revenue. Her most recent role was with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, spearheading a group of seven UK based hotels in the capacity of Cluster Head of Revenue. In both these positions, Ritu began by strategizing the post Covid-19 business mix and analyzing the evolving recovery patterns and business outlook, after which she switched to focusing on strategy and analysis of pricing, demand patterns, and active work on hotel budgets, as well as daily strategizing on how to achieve targeted revenue.

Ritu is also passionate about spiritual healing, reading stock markets trends & trading, listening to house music and travel.
