Perth welcomes the esteemed ‘Maximum Occupancy’ accommodation conference in 2024, promising insights into emerging trends and growth strategies for the hotel industry.
The leading accommodation industry conference, Maximum Occupancy, is heading to Australia’s West Coast in 2024. In conjunction with the Australian Hotels Association (WA), the inaugural two-day conference will be held in Perth on 16-17 April 2024.
Managing Director of Fastrack Digital and conference organiser, Adrian Caruso, said Maximum Occupancy’s arrival in Perth follows strong demand within WA’s accommodation sector, with further growth expected in the years ahead.
“For six years, highly successful Maximum Occupancy conferences have been held in Sydney and Auckland, so the decision to bring the conference to Perth is an obvious one,” Mr. Caruso said.
“Accommodation industry-specific events are normally held on the East Coast of Australia, but after listening to feedback from industry, suppliers, and the AHA(WA), we made the decision to join forces and bring the highly successful Maximum Occupancy conference to Perth in 2024.”
AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the Maximum Occupancy conference provides an ideal platform for WA’s accommodation sector to connect with suppliers and hear from industry experts to discover the latest trends, news and strategies to grow their business.
“We are excited to co-host a conference that will bring together the accommodation industry at a time where there are a number of significant opportunities for growth in the coming years,” Mr Woods said.
“In just the past few weeks there have been a number of positive announcements regarding major events and new flight paths into WA, which will deliver direct benefits to WA’s accommodation hotels, so the Maximum Occupancy conference is particularly timely.”
The Maximum Occupancy conference will immediately follow the 2024 WA Accommodation Awards for Excellence, which will be held on 15 April. The two-day format will include networking, industry updates, insights, and presentations from leading industry speakers from Google, Expedia, Booking.com, STR, and major hotel groups.
Topics will include distribution strategies, 2024 economic outlook, digital marketing, tech/AI strategies, revenue management, HR techniques, and reengagement with the Chinese market. The highly anticipated two-day conference will feature a unique ‘full-day’ workshop whereby conference delegates can learn one-on-one with industry experts in a small class environment.
