KUALA LUMPUR – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Malaysia’s premier award-winning purpose-built venue, is set to make its debut at the influential Meetings Show, taking place at London Excel from 26 to 28 June.

Collaborating with the Malaysia Exhibition and Conference Bureau (MyCEB), the Centre aims to educate international meetings and incentive organizers about the undiscovered treasures of Malaysia, spotlighting the country’s unique offerings and exceptional advantages for hosting business events.

“Malaysia offers unparalleled value for meetings and incentive events,” emphasized John Burke, General Manager of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. “Renowned for its “affordable luxury,” the country’s appeal has never been stronger than it is now. Our objective is to enlighten and inspire business event professionals about the extraordinary value and unforgettable experiences that await them and their guests in Malaysia.”

Situated at the vibrant heart of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre precinct, the Centre serves as an ideal launchpad to immerse oneself in the finest that Malaysia has to offer, combining luxury with security. Its strategic location provides event attendees with an abundance of choices, with a diverse range of recreational activities, entertainment options, culinary delights, and accommodations within walking distance. Encompassing a magnificent park, luxury shopping mall, and numerous stylish rooftop bars and restaurants, the precinct ensures an enriching experience for visitors. Seamless accessibility and connectivity, coupled with over 25,000 hotel rooms spanning budget to 5-star properties, further solidify its status as the ultimate starting point for embarking on a Malaysian adventure.

“In the wake of the pandemic, there is an increased appetite for new experiences, and Malaysia offers a plethora of remarkable opportunities,” Burke continued. “As a cosmopolitan melting pot of Malay, Indian, Chinese, and indigenous communities, Malaysia boasts a vibrant blend of traditions, cultures, and religions. This diversity has contributed to its rich heritage, time-honored traditions, and mouthwatering cuisine. Moreover, the country is blessed with natural wonders such as awe-inspiring tropical rainforests, ancient mountains, and idyllic tropical islands. It’s no wonder Malaysia is often described as the perfect blend of Asia. Through our presence at the Meetings Show, we aim to rekindle the interest of British and European meeting organizers by highlighting Malaysia’s hidden gems and unforgettable yet affordable experiences.”

While Malaysia offers affordability, it also boasts a robust support infrastructure and a professional events supply chain that instils confidence in international meeting organizers. English proficiency among most of the population further facilitates seamless business and leisure tourism experiences. Exemplifying Malaysia’s tradition of hospitality, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre also has a strong track record of success. The Centre has been the venue of choice for over 19,200 successful events, welcoming 27.5 millions of delegates and visitors since its opening.

In closing, John Burke expressed his excitement about participating in the Meetings Show, stating, “We are thrilled to join the Meetings Show and eager to collaborate closely with MyCEB to attract more events to Malaysia. For the Centre, thisre presents an opportunity to explore new markets, particularly in the UK and E5rope, and we are confident that our offerings will be very attractive. Malaysia has long been renowned for its exceptional hospitality, and we aim to leverage the Meetings Show to encourage more individuals to experience the country’s famed warmth and hospitality first-hand.”
