Celebrating its recent opening, INNSiDE by Meliã Bangkok Sukhumvit delves into Thailand’s art and culinary heritage, offering an engaging experience that connects guests with local culture through its inaugural public event, “Meet Bangkok from the INNSiDE”.

BANGKOK, THAILAND – INNSiDE by Meliã Bangkok Sukhumvit, part of Meliã Hotels International, celebrates its opening and underscoring its position as a cultural hotspot with a public art and cultural event, Meet Bangkok from the INNSiDE.

On 8 November, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (open to the public from 6 p.m. onwards), the hotel invites everyone to a multisensory journey, offering an immersive and thought-provoking encounter that will connect guests with Bangkok’s rich culture, art, and culinary traditions.

During the event, Laia Ferrer, a Barcelona-born chef, and Thai chef Sahadol “Pond” Tantrapim, along with owners of some of Thailand’s legacy restaurants, will explore the intriguing aspects of Spanish and Thai gastronomy through a storytelling session called Tales & Tastes of Thailand. Guests will be treated to an insightful discussion on the similarities and differences between the two cuisines and sample signature dishes from renowned restaurants in Bangkok.

In addition to gastronomic treats, INNSiDE by Meliã Bangkok Sukhumvit has also partnered with local artists to offer workshops for white tea-scented candle-dripping massage, and pendant making, as well as a collaborative exhibition with ART STORY, by Autistic Thai Foundation that employs art for therapy and helps provide job opportunities for people with autism. The event will conclude with a live music performance by DJ and environmentalist Note Panayanggoo, also known as “Note The Star,” with food and beverages available until 9 p.m.

The Meet Bangkok from the INNSiDE event is INNSiDE by Meliã Bangkok Sukhumvit’s first public event in Thailand. It aims to provide a new hospitality experience to curious travelers and modern guests, combining sensory and artistic experiences with a multicultural culinary journey designed to inspire and create a lasting impression.

The 34-storey INNSiDE by Meliã Bangkok Sukhumvit opened its doors in Thailand in July 2023. It features three dining outlets, including the stunning Giant Swing Pool Bar on the 34th floor, serving Mediterranean, Thai, and international cuisines and cocktails. At night, it becomes an extension of the LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar on the 33rd floor. Meanwhile, The Kites Eatery specializes in Thai cuisine, featuring a chic setting complemented by tall glass walls. In addition, the Open Living Lounge, which is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Inspired by Bangkok’s royal temple, Wat Phra Kaew, the Open Living Lounge seamlessly integrates a café, a lively lobby bar, and a co-working space, while offering an elegant and cozy vibe.

The 208-room hotel is the first INNSiDE by Meliã property and the fourth property under Meliã Hotels International in Thailand, following Meliã Koh Samui, Meliã Phuket Mai Khao, and Meliã Chiang Mai.

INNSiDE by Meliã Bangkok Sukhumvit is also the second INNSiDE hotel to open in Asia this year, joining INNSiDE by Meliã Kuala Lumpur Cheras, which opened in March. The 238-room property is designed for guests who opt for a sense of fluidity when it comes to mixing work with play. It is located in the commercial hub of Cheras, and, like the Bangkok property, it features vibrant multifunctional areas and co-working spaces. Another property in Southeast Asia is INNSiDE by Meliã Yogyakarta in Indonesia, which opened in 2017. Located in a city famous for its vibrant art scene and cultural sites, the 242-key property features an artistic, playful vibe.

At present, INNSiDE by Meliã has 38 properties globally, expanding its presence in prime lifestyle destinations, including Madrid in Spain, Liverpool in the United Kingdom, Berlin in Germany, Paris in France, Milano in Italy, and Zhengzhou in China.
