BANGKOK – Thailand based ONYX Hospitality Group, has signed a business alliance agreement with Walton Asset Management Co., Ltd., to manage Shama Luxe Sukhumvit Bangkok, a luxury serviced apartment in the heart of Bangkok. The signing marks an important milestone for ONYX Hospitality Group as it expands its Shama brand and launches the Shama Luxe brand into the luxury serviced apartment market.

Inspired by the opulent style of the Knightsbridge area in London, Shama Luxe Sukhumvit offers 52 refined spaces, ranging from the contemporary and spacious One- and Two-Bedroom Suites to the esteemed Two Bedroom Walton Suites. Each residence is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of all guests. Located in Soi Sukhumvit 39 in the Thonglor-Phrom Phong area, each apartment is equipped with a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with bathtub, and a spacious working area. Guests can enjoy communal facilities such as a fitness centre, a kids’ playroom, and a swimming pool with city views. Free Wi-Fi is available to support both long-term and short-term stays.

The signing of this agreement is a crucial step for ONYX Hospitality Group in leading the Shama brand in the serviced apartment market in Thailand, which is continuously expanding. The launch of Shama Luxe Sukhumvit will bring the number of Shama’s in Bangkok to six, equalling the number of properties in Hong Kong, where the serviced hospitality brand first began. By the end of the year, three more locations will be added to the portfolio in Hong Kong and Malaysia, with Shama Johor Bahru, Shama Medini Iskandar and Shama Hub Metro South Hong Kong. This will bring the brands total inventory to 19 properties in 2023.
