Minor Hotels, the powerhouse behind Anantara, Elewana, and other renowned brands, has secured 18 accolades in the prestigious 2023 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, showcasing its global excellence in hospitality.

BANGKOK – Minor Hotels, the parent company behind the Anantara, Elewana Collection, Tivoli and NH Collection hotel brands, announced a total of 18 accolades awarded to its hotels and resorts worldwide in the 2023 Condé Nast Traveler US and UK Readers’ Choice Awards – the prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry, as voted by the publications’ audiences.

In the 2023 awards, more than 520,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the US and UK shared their recent travel knowledge of the hotels, cruises, airlines and other industry players at the very top of their game. Leading this year’s great results for Minor Hotels are three Elewana Collection camps in Kenya and Tanzania, which have been recognized in the prestigious global list that celebrates the most beloved and cherished travel experiences in the world. In the Best 50 Resorts in the World, Elewana Elsa’s Kopje Meru was named #7, Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge #13 and Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp Masai Mara #29, all representing an outstanding achievement for the luxury boutique safari experience brand.

The group’s rapidly expanding portfolio of luxury hotels in Europe achieved success across numerous categories, with exceptional results for the group’s two Anantara properties in Italy. Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel in the 13th-century cliffside Capuchin convent was named #2 among Italy’s leading hotels, while Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel was voted #3 in Rome. In the Rest of Europe category, Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam achieved #18, while the #28 spot went to the Belle Époque masterpiece that is Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel in Hungary. NH Collection Barcelona Gran Hotel Calderon debuted at #6 in the Spain category, and Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel on the iconic Promenade des Anglais was ranked at #11 in the South of France and Monaco category.

In Asia, in Minor Hotels’ home market of Thailand, wellness-centric retreat Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort was voted the #9 resort, while in the broader Asia category, Anantara Hoi An Resort in Vietnam took home the #8 spot – a strong showing following the launch of The Vietage by Anantara, the luxury train experience connecting two of the brand’s resorts in Vietnam.

Elewana Collection dominated the listings in the Rest of Africa category, winning the top #1 spot for the romantic Elewana Elsa’s Kopje Meru in Kenya, #4 for Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge in Tanzania and #5 for Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp Masai Mara, also in Kenya.

In the highly contested Best Resorts in the Middle East category, two Minor Hotels properties were named in the top ten: Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara in the UAE at #7 and Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in the mountains in Oman at #10.

The very competitive Indian Ocean category saw Niyama Private Islands Maldives return at #13 and Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas posted at #18.
