Dr. Vikram Kamat shares the iconic journey and goals of The Vitskamats Group, emphasizing innovation, excellence, and expansion in the food industry.
MUMBAI, INDIA – The Vitskamats Group marked its Founders Day celebrations with an event that left a lasting impression on all who attended. Dr. Vikram Kamat, the distinguished CMD of The Vitskamats Group, took the stage to share the journey of the group and highlight the four incredible milestones that the iconic Kamats brand has achieved in its journey.
The first milestone was the inception of Kamats, a brand that pioneered Hot, Healthy, Hygienic Vegetarian Food on Highways when it was operationally considered tough.
The Kamats brand has been a trailblazer since its inception. This introduction revolutionized the concept of highway dining and set a new benchmark for availability, quality, and service.
The second milestone would always be the 80 Years of Unmatched Excellence of Kamats, which has held its ground as the longest-standing highway restaurant chain, with over 80 years of service in the industry. Their enduring dedication to customer satisfaction has made them an institution in the culinary world.
The third milestone is the advent of Kamats Legacy – A Culinary Extravaganza introduced in November 2022, foraying into the premium dining space. This establishment which serves delectable dishes from all five peninsular states of Southern India, offers a journey through its diverse and rich culinary traditions. Not only has it has received an overwhelming response from its patrons but further consolidated the brand’s iconic status in food supremacy and brought newness to the world of food.
Dr. Vikram Kamat has been known to spearhead technology in the world of food, especially South Indian food, and has made his team’s journey faster and uncomplicated with dosa-making and scraping machines reducing service time. This time around he stresses that the Fourth Milestone of the company is the delivery of South Indian Cuisine to one’s doorstep. The new delivery options at Kamats Legacy, is not only beautiful, essaying the legacy and history of South on the packaging itself but also a new delivery way of delivering Dosa and Vada that tries to keep them crisp and hot; bidding Adieu to boring South Indian food delivery that ends in a soggy dosa at home.
Dr. Vikram Kamat also expressed his delight at the overwhelming response received by Kamats Legacy Bhandup, which has been a significant driving force behind expanding it to the rest of Mumbai, the second and third outlets being Nariman Point in November and Vashi in December.
Additionally, the Vitskamats Group is all set to be at 30-plus hotels by the year-end, expanding its footprint across India with the opening of VITS Hotels and Resorts.
