New waterfront MICE packages for Salamander Shores in Port Stephens

New packages help to promote Port Stephens, a few kilometers away from Newcastle in New South Wales, following the establishment of a MICE tourism bureau.

Spending time by the water reportedly makes you relaxed and positive which means delegates who attend conferences at the waterside All Seasons Salamander Shores Resort in Port Stephens must leave much more chilled, optimistic and inspired than when they arrived.

Boasting spectacular views over the blue waters of Port Stephens, Salamander Shores has just released new affordable MICE packages including venue hire, a Ploughman’s Lunch and morning and afternoon teas, while accommodation starting from A$ 139 per delegate is proposed including a hot breakfast. New three-course banquet dinners have also been revised.

Golf packages are also available as are group-bonding adventures such as riding quad bikes or sliding down the biggest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere, beach boot camps, waterside yoga, brewery tours and cruises on the dolphin-rich harbour at Port Stephens.

Nestled in subtropical gardens above the calm blue waters of Port Stephens at Soldiers Point, 2½ hours north of Sydney, Salamander Shores offers a swimming pool, the Shoreline Steakhouse Restaurant, 90 rooms with water or garden views and four function rooms catering from 12 to 150 delegates.

“We know companies are looking at their budgets and bottom lines more than ever so our new MICE packages are as affordable as possible, offering the best value waterfront accommodation in Port Stephens,” said Salamander Shores Events and Weddings Coordinator, Katie Pain.

“We find delegates always enjoy and remember conferences overlooking the sea more than meetings at venues away from the water so we believe Salamander Shores offers an ideal combination of setting, price and accessibility close to Newcastle and Sydney to guarantee a successful event,” Ms Pain said.

Salamander’s new conference packages follow the launch last month of a new body – MICE Port Stephens – to promote the region to conference and event organisers.

“Port Stephens is perfect for corporate visitors who want to work and play away – but not too far away – from the city,” said Port Stephens Tourism Marketing Manager, Tars Bylhouwer. “Port Stephens offers an idyllic mix of quality and affordable accommodation, facilities and services, a spectacular natural environment and adventure activities perfect for team-building.”

Major airlines offer direct flights from Port Stephens to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and the Gold Coast, using Newcastle Airport near Nelson Bay in the heart of Port Stephens.
